Receptionists or customer service officers are the front line of a hotel's
staff, interacting with customers to make sure their experience is as smooth as
possible. These positions sometimes combine reception duties with
administrative or secretarial work. It's work that requires personality,
patience and an ability to think on your feet.

You'll need to be dedicated to satisfying your customers' requests, including
providing tourist information, booking taxis, dealing with local suppliers,
routing phone calls and even translating! The genuine gratitude and respect
(and sometimes tips) of your customers will be very rewarding. Prior training
or experience is a plus in these positions.
